1. Safe

Jake sighed and slumped his shoulders in defeat.
Damnit! I can't believe it! He then yelled fuming. He stood up and kicked the metal casing of the safe. He had been trying to crack the bloody thing, the last seven hours straight.

What the hell is wrong with me?! Jake growled as he walked over to the board with the schematics of the safe. He rubbed the stubbles on his chin. The drawings showed a small customized Bejamin Sherwood safe. There was clearly some very special 'customization' done to it.

Jake had been cracking fire safes for the last fifteen years. Very successfully. The last three years, he had not run into anything he could not crack...within three hours. True, the modern ones, needed additional high tech equipment, but that was to be expected. Now he had gotten the assignment to open this freaking antique and it was giving him stomach burn. He was going through the schematics again, crossing out parts that could not have been modified, marking the place that was clearly not like it was supposed to on the schema.

He suddenly looked at the door. The buzzer was low, but it had rang.
What?! Jake hissed still agrevated. No way someone would bother him at this time of day....or actually it was night already, when he glimpsed at the clock on the counter. He walked towards the door, but hesitated. He buttoned his jeans, and looked through the peephole.

Hi Jake said with a smile, as he opened the door. An out of place blond woman, wearing a suite, was looking at him annoyed.
How can I help you? He added friendly, holding the door as closed as possible, acting as if he wasn't properly dressed. Which in a way was correct, considering the outfit of the woman. If he had known, he would have matched her, just to impress. The eyes of the woman looked at him, not the least impressed, causing him to wonder if he would have pulled it off.
